Type of Disability Depression / Anxiety | Hi, 23 years ago Satan tried to take my life. While crossing the street one evening. I was hit by a car. Went headfirst through the driver's windshield, broke my neck, in a coma for weeks. Four months later, went home in a wheelchair for a year. Doctors were not sure if I would walk again. Today, I walk with an unsteady gait, but some say, I walk like Lurch on the Adams family. lol
Me personally, chickens and ducks..... Oh! Infants too, walk better the I.
So I would like to give some very good advice!
Look both directions before crossing the street! Duh!
I have a good sense of humor and enjoy making other smile. I like to talk and get silly. Let's get silly. Looking for friends to meet. God speed! |

| Hello I'm Jem, I'm 22 and I suffer from severe chronic pain syndrome as of forever, which limits a lot of what I can do. I am quiet, intense, intelligent, a good listener, kind and loyal with a wicked sense of humour. I'm mostly housebound and isolated, so I'm on this site looking to make good friends with like-minded people with any disability. Message me if you think we've got things in common. |

Type of Disability Aspergers Syndrome | I'm Mary, a 20-year-old university student, and I am going AbSoLUTelY INsAne because my brain just won't work like it used to.
I was recently diagnosed as autistic, and am just trying to cope, adapt, and move on in a world that has left me far behind.
I work at a grocery store, which is enjoyable sometimes. I never thought I'd end up working here (as a youngster, I thought veterinarian or surgeon, though I keep having to lower the bar), but this is okay.
In the summer I enjoy biking. Last year I had a seasonal position at a wildlife rehabilitation, and biked to and from work, for a total of ~40 km a day! I got into rollerblading, too. If you want weird animal pictures and stories... I've got 'em.
Lately, university takes up most of my time (even though I only am taking 4 courses instead of the usual 5, as I am really slow in the head these days), but I hope that once I get myself sorted out enough to have some fun, I can return to being outdoorsy and active. |
Type of Disability Arthritis | actually, i also have osteoporosis in my spine. very limited walking. in a lot of pain. try to be positive but it's hard. i am a published author and have finally turned back to writing after loss of husband 3 years ago. |
