Hi - Do you wish you had something that would help explain how it can be to live with a disability? I have written a book that is really useful for explaining so many things about being a disabled person to people who may not understand. It looks at how we may see ourselves, how the way society is run impacts on us and how the actions of other people impacts on us. But it is done in a fun way. I use the characters of African wild animals to tell my story, so its not like hitting people with a brick to get them to "get it". The story is called Impisi and is published as an ebook and is also available as a play script. I have used it as a disability awareness training tool with adults, but it could just as easily be given to children, which is after all when opinions are formed.
