I work in a Center for Independent Living and thought this would be a good site to get to know people for networking. I am leading our Peer support and am working on starting a disability youth program.
Personally I am wanting to get more involved with parents and students to help as I can with IEP's.
I am an amputee. Left leg and about half my right foot. Also died once and was revived. Sometimes I get a little isolated. So just looking to expand my world and get a new view of the world. Any subject is ok but I am known for being over opinionated. Yet I am a bit softer since I died. Anyhow hope this is fun

I endured 13 years on kidney dialysis, and now have gotten a kidney transplant. Starting to adjust and meet people. I am well, active, and exercise daily.

Hello everyone! I'm a 35 year old female in a wheelchair due to a gastric bypass surgery that went wrong & from a brain injury. I'm in the process of relearning to stand & then to walk. After I relearn to walk I'm going SKYDIVING! After skydiving I want to learn how to ride a Harley Davidson.
Before the wheelchair I was in hotel management but I plan to go back to school for human services to help people who are in my predicament, especially children & the elderly.
My family calls me a nerd because my tv does not leave CNN unless it's for Homeland, The Affair, Scandal & the dearly departed 24!
I'm 6ft, when standing(smile)! Shoulder length hair when not in kinky twist, brown skinned, with a few more ponds to loose.
I love red even my eyeglasses are red. I also collect all things LADYBUGS!
The most important thing in my life is my relationship with God!
