The MOTEL ROOM from Hell: Do Not be fooled was created by bohonk
Several days ago I attended a High School graduation (very nice) BUT , I had my sister-in-law make the motel reservations. (BIG MISTAKE) The room is rented as DISABLED, not WHEELCHAIR!
accessable,so, the door to the toilet was too narrow ( I had to crawl to it) (it was ICE COLD..(POLAR BEARS WOULD NEED A SWEATER)
Get the point...there IS a HUGE differance between disabled and wheelchair rooms

did you just choose the cheap option
maybe a bit of effort in what you needed would of helped
the world don't revolve about the disabled
some love to find something to moan about
get real

Bohonk,
I'm really sorry about your experience. I would have been furious. Is it even LEGAL for a hotel to make a distinction between "disabled" and "wheelchair"? It doesn't sound right to me at all. As far as I know, all disabled accessible places also have to be wheelchair accessible. I'd find out (not sure who to contact here) and get my money back if at all possible.

Hundergate, rarely do I but into someone else's conversation, but Bohonk and I live in the US. We have a constitutional amendment that protects the disabled and stiff fines for those who break the law regarding access to public buildings and businesses. It's called the American's with Disabilities Act. It makes excellent reading.
