Yes he was very lonely in film before Rory came in his life. Karl it is not life if disabled can not even to talk. All this devices... I know it helps people but it is not normal life for me. i love all users of this forum but such communication because of despair for me.

I do not want make you angry but for me normal is when you can go when and there you want and not ask for help no one. I do not think you're abnormal. I find it difficult to express my thoughts in English. For me it is not life, but a surrogate life
