I am actually on this site to be my adult daughter's voice. She is a beautiful 25 yr old who happens to have co-occurring disabilities such as autism, IDD (IQ is a 42 and cognitively/emotionally functions at a 4-5 yr old), complex partial seizures which unfortunately has in turn caused intermittent explosive disorder and psychosis. I am having difficulty getting her the services she is entitled to under her HCS funding and I am hoping someone on this site could assist me as I keep hitting one brick wall after another in a system that looks great on paper but ultimately is failing her!!

I am recently hearing disabled and have had mobility issues during my life but did not fully see the difficulties the disabled face. Now I am duing research on implementation of access statements to Hotels and tourist resort. This includes mobility, sight and hearing access and safety. I have friends with various disabilities and the problems they put up with make me so angry and I am in a position to make this noticed. Would be interested to hear from people with good or bad experiences of hotels, tourist venues and care units were their disability has caused them to be discriminated against.
31 years ME. looking for info on mobility scooters or other ways to get about with minimum effort.
