12 years ago I left CA to move to TN to be with the lady I loved who also happened to be an old friend I met in high school in 1969.
Two weeks ago she told me she wanted to separate
I might want to move back West to AZ or Nevada. My issue is I have severe spinal injuries (8 compression fractures and one burst fracture) and so many old broken bones I have lost count, this due to osteoporosis that puts me in bottom 1% of men my age for bone density.
Three of the finest Orthopedic surgeons available over the last 20 years have told me surgery is not likely ti help and is likely to make things worse and they have sent me to pain clinics to manage my pain (it can be off the scale
) or they prescribed meds themselves. In TN they have a very good pain clinic choices and the laws are reasonable.
I go every two months and they drug test me both to ensure I am taking the meds and not selling them and to check for illegal drugs. Not a single issue in 10 years of this.
What I am here for is advice from those of you that live in Arizona and Nevada in particular. Are these states "enlightened" when it comes to pain control or are they hard to deal with? It would be a HUGE mistake to move there only to find I could not be treated for pain
Thank you for any help or advice. If I am going to move it will be very soon
