I just started a new therapy for my chronic back pain and fibromyalgia. I'm starting at the outset, knowing that I can only expect, at best, a 20% improvement in my pain, but I can definitely delay the degenerative issues in my spine.

I am going to a physical therapist 2 times a week and I get into a small pool of very warm water up to my shoulders. I walk on an underwater treadmill, which enables me to walk heel to toe, which I am unable to do out of the water at this point. I also do other exercises working on balance and the now extremely weak muscles of my abdomen that I need to support my back.

My vertebrae have started to tilt forward, like a stack of blocks tipping over, and we are hoping to reverse that. I love this therapy! And the prescription is for the rest of my life. This, finally, a therapy that is working for me.

that is great :) for your condition, do they ever suggest you move to a warmer place? I have relatives who were told such things years ago.
