Hi! University student seeking participants (UK) was created by lyndsey90
Hello there!
My name is Lyndsey and I am a final year student at Leeds Metropolitan University, studying Events Management (Managing Major and Cultural Events).
I am a final year student and part of my assessment is to complete a dissertation collecting my own research data.
My dissertation title is 'An investigation into the accessibility and inclusivity of disabled attendees at music festivals in the UK'.
Festival management is an area of the industry I am very keen on, and through my own experience of volunteering at various festivals throughout the UK I have noticed certain aspects of the sites that are not 'disabled friendly', even with current legislation.
The hope of this research is to highlight changes that can be made in order to make festival sites more accessible and user friendly for disabled attendees from the moment of booking, until leaving a festival site.
To collect my data I am hoping to have in person interviews with people who have a physical disability who have attended, or are interested in attending music festivals.
I am hoping that I might be able to contact people who use Your Able in the hope of finding some participants. I currently live in Leeds but I am willing to travel in order to meet participants who are interested in taking part.
I have consent forms, participant information sheets and recruitment information should you require any other information about my research. My student email is 'l.calder7236@student.leedsmet.ac.uk'.
Please feel free to contact myself on here or by email.
My personal tutor is Dr.Adrian Richardson, if you should wish to contact him I am happy too forward his details if you would like more information.
Any help with this matter would be greatly appreciated, and I hope to hear from you soon.
Many thanks,
Lyndsey Calder.

We have had people from Universities who have been doing papers on different things post on here and have been very successful in getting information, even I was interviewed for one myself. So I hope you get the information you need and are successful with your dissertation.
