I just joined. Nice to meet y'all! Looking forward to actually being able to hang out with some fellow disabled people. Most of my friends and family are either abled or have some serious internalized ableism so I hope this space will be a lot more positive!

Hi Welcome to the site & forum, yes this is a positive area and I understand what you mean about family being able and not understanding. I get annoyed at talking to certain family members and they poo pooing my disabilities I come away seething. Back to positivity I'm a cat lover I have two sweeties and they are a handful I don't know how you cope with four!! I would love to see pictures of them you must post on Pets section, you will see pictures of my two Arnie & Willow. Welcome again and hope you enjoy the site.
