Where My Heart Is
I look up to the sky and watch the birds on the wing.
Then open up my window so I can hear them sing.
A special song for me, just to make me smile.
I sit on my window seat where I will stay awhile.
The trees sway gently to and fro caught up by the breeze.
They do a dance of their own as if the birds to tease.
Then suddenly rain pounds the window and the wind is getting wild.
I sit and watch the show with the wonder of a child.
Now the sky is so much bluer and the sun warms the air.
The surf crashes on the beach, beauty beyond compare.
At last I am home and no more will I stray.
Here is where my heart is and it's here that I will stay.
