That’s really awful — for someone who depends on their wheelchair, damage like that isn’t just inconvenient, it can take away their independence completely. Airlines really need to improve how mobility equipment is handled. Services like business-class.us
can sometimes help travelers prepare for these risks with advice on protections, insurance, and smarter planning

I am really sorry to hear about your experience that must have been so stressful and disappointing especially when you were just trying to enjoy your holiday. Airlines really need to understand how important mobility equipment is and handle it with the same care they would for any essential item. When I travel I always try to contact the airline beforehand to confirm how they manage wheelchairs and sometimes I arrange accessible transportation  at my destination to make things smoother. Did the airline at least offer any quick help or compensation after the damage happened?
