I love my music. Even though I now have hearing problems, I can still hear my music, albeit not totally in stereo. I have hundreds of music CDs, of all sorts, ditto cassettes and vinyl LPs, although I'm in the process of replacing the cassettes and LPs with CDs as and when possible.
But. I was just thinking about a certain song that I think was from November 1981.
Placido Domingo and John Denver, and the song was \"Perhaps Love\".
Why did that song stay as a sweet memory when the time wasn't so good?
I'd gone into hospital for a total hysterectomy and the first of a number of breast tumour removals, and the hospital had a music/record DJ service, run by some lovely youths at the weekends.
And I had requested the above song - I also had ordered strictly Kasher [kosher] meals, and the first meal had turned up without new plastic cutlery.
[don't ask - just accept please that it was necessary for me]
So the lovely teenagers who ran the hospital radio service at weekends, played my requested Domingo and Denver song, announcing that it had been requested by \"knives and forks\".
I will never forget that - so is there something that reminds you of some special kindness when it really was just something some teenagers did to make you feel a bit more cheerful when they knew you were scared sh!tless about a coming surgery?

The day my daughter was born was the day Cliff Richard's song \"Congratulations\" was chosen to be the UK song for Eurovision.
