whats happened to mail??

Hi all
Been away for a week just got logged on site as changed and all my messages have gone so have no record of peoples site names i was writing too etc. When i pressed contact us all that came up was abuse@ but this isn't abuse, so can anyone give me any idea whats gone on with the emails?

We informed everyone by email about the emails, on April 7th 2011 we transferred to a new website but we couldn't move the emails across.
