Where does the tradition of giving eggs at Easter come from?

That realy started with the Russian Aristocricy handing out Faberge Eggs at easter to selected servants....the myth grew to stories of thousands being given to peasants....not confirmed as eggs highly regarded and priced xxxx :whistle:
