Karl, you are right. I do get to a point where it is so bad, even lying still in bed, that I can do nothing but cry and swear. My husband hears a lot of "f*** you!", "F*** everything!", and "get me a gun!" I have had a few episodes where pain has made me nauseous and that means I have to go to the ER for an injection. It scares me sometimes how bad it can get. :(

I watch this programme on in Blighty called 'One born every minute' is a documenty set in a maternity hospital with camera's everywhere so you can catch a woman from labour to seeing her give birth. I love it because what the women say to there poor partners who feel useless! Labour is a pain so when we are in pain we can come out with some funny things and verbally abuse our partners! I know I do!! I sometimes threaten my husband by saying 'Do you want to know how bad this pain is hurting me come over here and I will wack you in your meat and two veg as hard as I possibly can with my crutches, then you will know!!'

Amanda, I love it! I've told my daughters that the delivery of my first baby was a disaster because I had a male doctor and my second was a breeze because I had a female midwife. That was because the last thing a woman wants between her legs when she's in that much pain is a man! :woohoo:
