Karma
"In Nichiren Buddhism, karma is based on the law of cause and effect. Karma is a variation of the Sanskrit word karman, which means "act" or "action." Karma is the accumulation of causes made in the past. These causes reside in the inner realm of life as potential energies until the circumstances are ripe for them to manifest as effects.
Karma is created through thoughts, words and deeds. Karma can also describe our deluded tendencies that exert an influence-positive, neutral or negative-on our lives. Nichiren Buddhism teaches that karma can be transformed through overcoming delusions, taking action and, above all,
chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo."
