Yesterday I had a very bad day.
two websites broke down...
at dinnertime, I was driving by the bar in F&Bs and my wheelchair broke down so the barmaid pushed me into my car and the litter pickers was down my street so they pushed me in my house
On the night, I was watching TV and my sky box broke down.

In the winter of 2004 I was still a high school teacher. It was snow and I got outside in the city and I took a long walk. When I came home, my prosthetic limb broke luckily right in front of the building I was living in. The shock was somehow diminished and I did not get hurt. A neighbor took me in. Then my parents made me another prosthetic limb.
Last autumn it broke again. Luckily I was at home and luckily I could clutch the kitchen door's knob. Moreover, I still had another prosthetic limb, kept in case something wrong happens. Since then I walked with it.
They break for two reasons - weight stress and rustiness of some bolts if it gets wet.

I use a manual wheelchair and had a front caster assembly break off while in the garden, how I got indoors and transferred to my spare is a long story!

Last summer, 2014, my mother found 2 abandoned pigeon chicks in the garbage. Someone must have been destroyed a nest at home. I tried to raise them without knowing what they were in the beginning. One of them died early. The other one survived over three weeks. He/she was so sweet...believe it or not it pecked at my foot, followed my steps and in the morning came from its nest to my bed to wake me up. I loved it so much and hoped for better. But one day I was unlucky to let it free from its enclosure on the balcony and it ate something bad, then fell down for a few hours and died. it was healthy before. It was one of the saddest days in my later life...
In this photo they are both after we found them.

Okay this is what happened yesterday, Arnie was annoying me so I got out their favourite toy (it's a feather toy on elastic attached to a pole.) I played with Arnie (& Willow) for 10mins,went to get the toy off Arnie, he was still in played mode and wouldn't give up the toy.I went to take it off him and he swiped at me,one of his nails caught in my finger deep. He pulled it out and it was like a blood bath blood was spurting out like a fountain I had to hold my hand in the other hand and get to the sink.Put the finger under the tap and it stopped the bleeding but my finger started to swell and blood was collecting under the wound. So I had to take a trip to A&E. He has caught a nerve and badly bruised my finger and I needed a tetanus shot.
