HOW TO USE USER MENU

THE USER MENU IS BROKEN UP INTO 4 DIFFERENT TITLES
MY PROFILE
This is where the profile you set up when you joined will be.

EDIT PROFILE

This is where you can change or add anything to your profile, including your photo.

ADD OR CHANGE PHOTOGRAPH
To add a new photo to your profile you need to go to edit profile on the user menu. The first page you come to is ‘ MyPhoto’, go to where you will see ‘ profile image’ you will see a small box to the side of that. Press the down arrow select ‘upload new image’. Press ‘Browse’, your photo file box will open. Select the photo you want to use, press open and update.

ADD OR EDIT PENPAL
This will send you to your Edit Profile page where you can add a penpal request or if you have added a penpal request you can change anything on the request.

MY MAIL BOX
This is where your mail will be, The inbox is broken up into who has sent it , the message and the date sent. The OUTBOX is for messages you have sent to members. TRASHCAN is where your deleted mail goes. And COMPOSE is for when you want to send a message to another member. When you want to send a member a message you will see on the COMPOSE section you type the name of the member in the box or go through your connections list on the right and pick the name of the person you want to send the message to. Below that you type the message. You will see lots of fonts and emoticons you can add to the message but you will see you have 2500 characters to use in the message and send.

HOW TO USE PENPALS
In the PenPal section you will see all the members who are looking for a Penpal. We have loads of members in this section. To find a member who is suitable for you just go through the list and when you find a member you would like to know more about you just click on their name above the photograph and this will take you to their profile page and you send them a message or make a connection with them. To do that you just need to go below the photographs and go to the user menu and either press send a private message or make a connection.

VIDEOS
You can add or watch videos on this section, if you find something while browsing the internet and you want to add it to the site. Press Videos and you will see ‘CATEGORIES’ of video’s available to watch, press the header of the type of video it is. You will see a box with ‘add media’ highlight (left hand click mouse) the ‘http’ box at the top left hand corner of the page the video is on (say U-tube page) right hand click mouse and press ‘copy’. Go to the top box below ‘ADD REMOTE MEDIA’ That says ‘ enter the media link here’ and right hand click mouse and press ‘PASTE’. Go to the box that is blue that says ‘ADD’ and press that.

FORUM
The forum is a great place to meet up and make friends. The forum is broken up into 3 Categories, GENERAL, LIFESTYLES & DISABILITES. Under those sections are smaller headed Categories, to read anything in those headed sections just press the name of the one your interested in, you will find different topics in these sections that you can read and post a reply to. You can post a reply at the bottom of the post, you will see a selection of prompts, Quick reply (for small written replies), Reply & Quote (To write a quote to the previous post). If you would like to start a topic on the Forum you can by pressing ‘New Topic’ at the top of the Categories. At the bottom of your topic you will see a box, it will say if you want to subscribe this means any replies to the topic you will be informed by email. If you don’t want to subscribe just tick the box.
