I did say in this current mess with some people not able to afford food or heating people wouldn't be able to afford a £5 joining fee and would look for free sites to join instead of this one. Wouldn't it be better to hold off on this idea for a while until the money situation is better?
sorry karl mate but if u start charging for a site that has been free for decades your gonna lose the members that were here from day 1 who liked the whole " freee pen pal/disabled site".....why try fix whats not broken an all that
I can understand your need to cover expenses with operations of the website. A banner ad on the side doesn't personally put me off if it covers expenses. And perhaps a donate button if needed for those so led to in helping cover expenses. Thanks for providing the website.
