PREHEAT OVEN TO 160C/325F/GAS MRK 3,
CREAM THE BUTTER AND CASTER SUGAR TOGETHER UNTIL LIGHT AND FLUFFY,
ADD THE VANILLA EXTRACT AND MIX,
ADD EGGS (ONE AT A TIME) THEN BEAT,
ADD THE FLOUR GRADUALY AND MIX,
POUR THE MIXTURE INTO THE CAKE TIN, BAKE FOR ABOUT 1HOUR 15MINS,
COOL FOR ABOUT 10 MINUTES AND TURN OUT ONTO A RACK.
