But our sex ed in the US is "abstinence based", which really means they never taught us anything.

I had to go back and research the article. This happened in 2007. Two 11 year old girls and two boys, age 12 and 13 were involved. In 5th grade in the US, students are normally ages 10 or 11. I'm not sure what in the hell 12 and 13 year old boys were doing in there, even if they had failed grades. This is really messed up, and it speaks to the rural south which, it seams, is living up to all of the stereotypes it has.

Well here in UK kids aged 12-13 know more about sex and different types than I did when I was aged 16!! And they are sexually active & watching porn! It shows we are in a ever changing world!!
