Hi Suzan. U may have thought of this already, but have you enquired about a cat from somewhere like THE CATS PROTECTION LEAGUE? Or any other cat association eg RSPCA? they may be able to help you with your fears and put your mind at rest. I have had many cats over the years all rescued in 1 way or another. Sadly i only have 1 now and he adopted me
