It's an interesting idea. Basically salt injections to plump up the damaged disc. While this would alleviate pain, I wonder about the long run. Why do discs rupture more readily in some people, even family groups (this seems to be the case for me. I have a family full of bad backs).
At one point there were studies being done with artificial discs but that was stopped. The problem with an artificial disc is that there is no really good place to attach it, though I do know of a woman in my community who has one and does fine with it. She was part of a study.
I'd be game to have the procedure done if it becomes approved.
