I went to see an Oncologist yesterday after having an M.R.I scan in June that shown up a bone tumour in my left ankle. As you can imagine waiting up until yesterday to find out what would happen left me stressed out and very scared. The Oncologist was lovely and made my husband and I feel at ease straight away. What he told me left me totally surprised. What was in my ankle was an Enchondroma a cartilage tumour, these are very rare in someone my age it is actually 1 in 100 people of my age who gets one of this cartilage tumours. They are fine and don't need removing under 5cm in size above that though are more likely to be malignant and would need operating on to remove it. Mine is a whopping 1cm!
