Samara lives with Depersonalization-Derealization Disorder (DPDR). After enduring multiple traumatic events in childhood, her world began to feel dreamlike and unreal. She often felt as though she was watching herself from outside her body and experienced memory loss from dissociative amnesia. Sights and sounds were distorted, leaving her disconnected from both her surroundings and herself. Despite the constant fog of DPDR, Samara wants others to know that it is possible to build a fulfilling life while living with this condition.
