Are you gifted? Or do you have an invisible disability? If you are neurodivergent in any way, there’s a high chance that you’re both. It’s common for neurodivergent people, like those on the autism spectrum, to live with hidden disabilities. People are usually more inclined to accommodate disabilities if they are obvious, so it’s harder with invisible disabilities. Having hidden disabilities, and masking, have their pros and cons. Being able to mask can be a privilege, but it can also be dangerous especially to kids.
