A disabled sailor has reached Cornwall as part of his attempt to sail solo around Britain.
Geoff Holt, 40, from Shedfield, Hampshire, launched from the Royal Southern Yacht Club, Hamble, in his boat Freethinker last month.
He was paralysed from the chest down following a swimming accident and has a specially adapted boat.
It is the first time a disabled sailor has tried to sail solo the 1,600 miles around the British coast.
Mr Holt, who left Newlyn harbour on Wednesday to sail the 30 miles around Land's End, says he want to inspire other disabled people to get out on the water.
Once out at sea he relies on a support boat for help in an emergency and for food.
During his trip he has hit storms and had to be towed in with a broken mast but when the boat is going well he makes good progress, sometimes travelling at 10 knots (11mph).
