I woke up to see on the news this morning the devastation hurricane Irma had done to the Caribbean Island of Barbuda. It was shocking to see that 95% of the housing was rubble and the whole Island was devastated. Now with winds hitting 180mph Irma has hit Porto Rico and was heading for Florida hitting other Caribbean Islands on it's way. St Martin & St Barts has already been hit with reports of major damage, and to make matters much worse to other hurricanes have developed hurricane Jose over the Atlantic and hurricane Katia over the gulf of Mexico, these 3 are now said to be the worst recorded in history. Hurricanes are categorised by what strength they are Irma is currently a Category 5 on the Saffir-Simpson hurricane scale because of it's winds being over 157mph, with buildings likely to be severely damaged when the storm makes landfall, that is the highest possible rating.
