meeting new friends
My name is Luigi, I am married, I have polio in my right leg and I am also diabetic, however, "regardless of my health, I am fine".
I'm sorry I speak and write very bad English....
After writing for years "for passion and only for passion", for some newspapers on topics and events of international politics, I am currently retired. I live in a small town of just 2000 inhabitants in southern Italy, in Puglia, a region rich in history and traditions.
I have a strong passion for travel, and a natural desire to leave in search of new destinations and when I cannot do it physically I do it via the web. My passion for the different cultures and people of the world has taken me physically and not, to places where there are not many people who travel there.
I am curious by instinct, I love discovering authentic places in which to search for their originality, their cultural and artistic heritage, the traditions and attractions, the ways of living, of thinking of the people who live there. Through this social network I would like to communicate and make sincere friendships with people who have no qualms about talking about different topics.
Nature, natural medicine, art, travel, old sailboats, vintage cars and motorcycles, research of ancient stories and legends
reading, writing, travelling by car, swimming
More than a plan it's a dream: Sailing around the world on a sailboat. Dreaming is free, it costs nothing.
classical, opera, , jazz, blues, country, gregorian chant, gospel
I generally like historical films and films that talk about real things. I don't like science fiction. I really liked: Dances with Wolves
news, science documentaries, current affairs, documentaries about places to discover
I really love Italian literature from the 13th century.
Some books that I particularly liked are:
- The Trial, by Franz Kafka
- The Magic Mountain by Thomas Mann
- Memoirs of Hadrian, by Marguerite Yourcenar
- One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel García Márquez
- In Search of Lost Time, by Marcel Proust
- Elective Affinities by Johann Wolfgang Goethe
- The Great Gatsby by Francis Scott Fitzgerald
And many more
As a child my hero was my father. I always appreciated him for his moral integrity and his honesty and generosity. Reflecting on it even today, several years after his death, I believe that my favorite hero is still him.
The first ever my house and then Africa, especially Morocco
My Penpal
I would like to meet new people around the world to talk about the most varied topics. I am passionate about travel, history, literature and I love the sea and the countryside.
I write in very bad English, I would also like to correspond via email, but also by traditional mail in Italian and French.
I am currently studying English and Arabic.
I am a gourmet, I love cooking and I like to exchange traditional national recipes
