I have profound hearing loss and major depressive disorder. Having said that, with hearing aids and SSRIs, I do OK. I am highly educated and articulate but somewhat shy. I tend to be politically conservative and a believer in free market systems. Addendum: gee whiz, now I can add asthma and broken leg.

I suffer with a genetic disorder which is known as Charcot Marie Tooth disease, it affects the lower half of the limbs, (most painful in the legs if I am standing for any lenght of time).
I am still able to hold down full employment though, (sat on my butt all day) but it keeps me going.

Since I became house bound a few years ago, I only have a few people to talk to from my old car hobby, and my caregiver, all which are important to me, but I would like to "stretch out" a little I attended one local MS support group meeting, but it was so depressing because so many are so worse off than I am, that I elected not to go back, so I am searching for another outlet.
