What do you want to be called by able bodied people such things used and being used: handicapped, retard, disabled I would rather people say my given name. Labels are for jars not people. That is just my opinion

I have a Tshirt saying my son is a man not a disability. When I think of some people I've known in my life I would rather have dinner or a drink with someone who has special needs . They always have interesting things to say, not the usual boring clap trap

I hate it when some of my family say Oh Amanda is ill? I'm not ill, you can't catch what I've got!! I've got a disability, or if you want to I have Osteoporosis! It does annoy me.

I totally agree with RogerNZ. My first name is the only thing I'd like to hear. What's going on in able people's minds, what they may or may not think can only hurt us, therefore must be dismissed.
