My sleeveless thermal vests [hush my mouth, that is TMI] cost 50p and the long sleeved ones cost 90p.

Blimey Gandra,youll be telling me next that you used to go out on a Saturday to the Cinema...go to a restnt after....then on to a club....get a taxi home....and still have change out of one shilling xxx LOL :whistle:

Erm, no. Me never went out on a Saturday 'cos it not permitted.

Can't remember ever going to a club.

What is/was a club?

Remember shillings though - used to get sixpence pocket money when I was eleven and went to grammar school.

Was a l o n g time ago though.

But I do remember a lot of other stuff...

Where did you live.....and went to Grammer School.....it must have been in the South xxxx :lol:

Good morning Tony, although it still feels like the middle of the night for me.

It is coming up to 8.15am here and even with the fan in my bedroom on full, all three windows wide open, it was 'ot. I'm now up, obviously, with both fans on in the salon, and oh oh oh for air-conditioning, which is impossible in these concrete boxes in which I live.

But one can hope, can one not?

Does NW London mean anything to you? Like Hampstead Garden Suburb? Only that's where I went to grammar school.
