Can anyone share some of their experiences talking to non-disabled women. I have social phobia and have fears of being embarrassed, laughed at or embarrassing the person. Positive responses only please.

I notice that this thread has been very quiet. If you are ever looking for dating tips as a disabled single then the website http://disabilityhorizons.com/2016/09/disability-dating-sites-how-to-ace-your-first-date/has a series of articles (written by me  ) that could be of great help to you. I am also very happy if any forum members want to message me on the topic or tweet me @disabilitymatch.

Key is that you yourself feel comfortable and open for conversation and they just respond as they do, overthinking is actually a conversation killer, you need to be presentable & respectful, and at the same time comfortable in having silence for the moment or let her or him to begin the next topic. It's a very big subject but that's the core of it.

Key is being yourself, not out to impress one with false narrative.

I would take the woman's lead. If she seems to want to continue a conversation then feel free to keep talking. It is as simple as that.
