Hello all; I have been living with this monster for 12 years. I understand that amputation isn't an option for pain relief . . . my question is this: recently a surgical scar became red and itchy. (My neurologist Appointment isn't until end of January) My layman's research is it can be an infection.
I have experinced unimaginable pain, swelling, discoloration and bone fracture in that leg. If an infection is present would it be unreasonable to think that the medical staff will want to remove part of my leg?
My monster within is reeking havic on my bones and teeth (pulpal necrosis). Since saving my teeth has been unsuccessful, I fear my leg might be as well.
Any response is welcome.

Sorry it's took so long to get back to you, been off after having a total knee replacement so know about itchy scars!! Now if it is weeping then it could be infection. You said it's effecting your teeth as well as bone!! So what has happened? Please let us know how you are.
