My New Self-Made AAC Talker

My New Self-Made AAC Talker was created by Karl
After over 10 years with myself made talker, I had to replace it as I couldn’t buy the batteries anymore and the talker was slowing down so I decided to buy a new one.
Here is my new self-made talker. Probably the smallest and cheapest talker in the world.
It’s a normal tablet with the full windows 8.1 from Argos for £80.
Battery life 7 hrs continuously
Screen 8 inches
Same software grids from my last talker. Only needed to alter the grids slightly as its much smaller screen.
As you can see from the photo it’s much smaller, now I can see where I am going.
Yes I had both talkers on my chair. Can Stephen Hawkings do this? lol
I think this talker will last me for 2 years and not over ten years as the talker isn’t a rugged tablet but for the price I can afford to replace it.
Last week I went pub crawling down Holderness road and the talker is still working. Lol

Pretty neat! You obviously know your way around 'modern' tech. Like the sound of the pub crawl...

Now you have me to help you with running this wonderful site you have more time to do these things! Next thing you will be supping up your chair to go faster! I was saying to my better half I wish I could speed up my chair lift going up it's a bit on the slow side. Coming down it's a little faster thanks to gravity!!
Don't you go getting arrested for being drunk in charge of a wheelchair! As Sandie said not again! I could actually see you being stopped by the rozzers and them asking you to' blow in to the tube sir' and them saying 'it's gone to red and we have to arrest you' ect.....
