Favourite song of years gone by

Here's an oldie (1982) - but still an update of the original "My fair lady" film song.

I only really knew the Dave Edmunds version of this, but here's the man who wrote it, Nick Lowe. Check the lyric "Proud daddy only want to give his little girl the best...put down a grand on a cosy little lover's nest..." What would a 'Grand' buy these days? A front door and a 'welcome' mat maybe?! Mildly amusing vid I thought.

Just been listening to this album, it's a good album Coldplay's 'Ghost Stories' and this is one of my favourite songs off it.
