I've received training in life, life purpose and career coaching through the Life Purpose Institute, meeting and event planning through UNC-Charlotte’s Continuing Education professional program. I also have life and professional experience with disability, knowledge of self-advocacy and independent living skills and more. I've been providing coaching as "THE Disabilities Coach"™ for the last couple of years, as well as mentoring and motivation for most of my life personally. BUTTERFLYWHEEL™ Motivation, Advocacy & Consulting was officially organized in 2008.
Learning the delicate balance between consistently challenging myself and realizing my body’s limitations, I can teach you, with a little bit of dry wit and dark humor spicing the life mix, how to become more self-aware, confident and independent regardless of your level of time commitments, ability challenges or onset of disability. I have lived a fulfilling and rewarding life from a wheelchair since birth and have dealt with depression with a wry humor since my teens.
Through BUTTERFLYWHEEL™ , I coach people facing life, health and career transition stress—specializing in individuals with disabilities, from youth to veterans. Through coaching, I help transition clients from a state of confusion and feelings of powerlessness, shifting them from the mere idea of life’s endless possibilities toward a more colorful reality.
