hunted most of my life. My
cabin was always full of family and friends. Then every
thing changed.
I had a right arm amputated
eight years ago then four
years ago I became a paraplegic.

Well, Im 49, easy going, take people as I find them. I moved to a small village a year ago (just outside of Kings Lynn, Norfolk) just before my back gave out and had to have my 2nd discectomy last June (previous one 3 years ago)Im a social person and Im looking to get to know, and meet, a few people hopefully become friends. I have some mobility issues but may not be permanent, depends on how well the sciatic nerve heals, but I can do most things, I live with constant back pain and have to watch how I do things but I work around things. Im not judgemental, if I like someone and we get on, that's what matters to me. I don't really know what else to put down but I am an open person so please feel free to ask if there's anything you want to know. Have always had male friends as well as female, my best friend is a guy so would be nice to meet either men or women. Also, Im down to earth, what you see is what you get. Am also a smoker, I love animals and I have a real dry sarcastic sense of humour. Im happy to email people but I want to actually meet them, hopefully form some friendships, nothing like talking to someone face to face, easier to have a laugh and joke to :-)

I am the co-vice chair of the local disability organisation and a firm believer in the Social Model of Disability. I live with my 2 cats and I employ Personal Assistants using a Direct Payment. I have a special needs child. I enjoy travelling and volunteering. I have been volunteering since a small girl. In the US have volunteered with medically fragile children in the care of the state and helping refugees from war torn countries establish a life in the US. I have volunteered in Romania at a hospital for orphans with special needs and in Greece at a hospital for the physically and mentally challenged (this was my favorite of all volunteer jobs).
