Sex is a biological aspect of life, like eating or sleeping. Some people go starving themselves from it or going completely overboard. Much like eating or sleeping too much, it can have very unhealthy and undesirable consequences.
And much like you wouldn't want to eat a cheeseburger you dug out of a trashcan that was filled with worms and disease, you should be discriminating and exercise good judgment of whom you choose to participate with.
Masturbation is also a perfectly valid option. It may not be a five-star meal, but it does serve to satisfy urges and desires that most everyone experiences at times. I don't see any shame in it.
